Larold’s Jubilant Junkyard is open for business!

This is no April Fools, Welcome to Larold’s Jubilant Junkyard ( “The junkyard” for Short)! The Junkyard is website/blog/shop. The junkyard’s primary focus is the creation of digital products, and also the education of that process. Most commonly in the Junkyard you will find game development projects and tutorials. However, websites and other things might also make appearances.

At the opening of Larold’s Jubilant Junkyard, the first planned project is the How to make a Gameboy Game Series. This series will feature a set of tutorials on how create a basic “Shoot-em-up” for the Nintendo Gameboy. Knowledge of C programming is a prerequisite, because the tutorials will utilize The GBDK 2020. The Nintendo Gameboy is 30+ year old console, so there will be many limitations and obstacles to overcome. Later, as more content arrives, readers will be able to compare the differences between modern and retro consoles/gaming.

Possible Future plans for Larold’s Jubilant Junkyard include a variety of digital content. This includes a YouTube channel, a teachable course, eBooks, and a Patreon. Some of these will be accompanied with “how-to” guides, so you can do it to! These are just the future plans however, there is no concrete deadline.

Be sure to follow The Junkyard on social media for all updates. You can contact The Junkyard at [email protected].
