My first Gameboy game will be a SHMUP. It is going to accompany a “How to make a Gameboy Game” tutorial series. Devlogs will be posted with my progress regularly. I chose to make a SHMUP because i felt it had a proper difficulty level. I’m not new to game development. But i am new to GAMEBOY game development. I wanted something that isn’t super complex, but also isn’t super simple.
From Wikipedia:
Shoot 'em up (also known as shmup or STG[1][2]) is a sub-genre of shooter video games, which are in turn a sub-genre of action video games. There is no consensus as to which design elements compose a shoot 'em up; some restrict the definition to games featuring spacecraft and certain types of character movement, while others allow a broader definition including characters on foot and a variety of perspectives.

As major milestones/progress/setbacks are met, devlogs will be produced. These devlogs will give a behind the scenes look into project development.
